Hey, thanks for visiting my portfolio!
Hi, I’m Sally — a UX designer based in Singapore. I’ve always been a quiet person who loves to make things. As a kid, that meant spending hours painting, drawing, and crafting very “original” presents for my mum. Not much has changed since then, except now I make things in pixels for a living.
Before becoming a UX designer, I worked as an art teacher, an advertising creative, and a game UI artist. Each chapter shaped how I design today: teaching taught me patience, advertising taught me persuasion, and UX continues to teach me empathy (with plenty still to learn). These experiences help me balance creativity with clarity, and aesthetics with intention.
My life mantra is “Stay curious and say yes.” I believe in letting the journey unfold, learning from every experience, and trusting that things eventually fall into place.
When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me drinking cheap beer or overpriced coffee, learning to cook something new, or looking at memes. If you’d like to chat about my work — or give me recommendations on the best happy hour place in town — feel free to reach out at sallymcnallyzhou@gmail.com.
